About the Alameda United Church

"We seek to be an active, loving, learning, worshipping body that strives to reach out to the wider community."

The Alameda United Church is a faith community that has been going strong for more than a century. The original church building was constructed in 1907, with many improvements added over the next one hundred years. In 1922, the local Presbyterians and Methodists came together as part of the United Church of Canada. In 1990, a large addition to the church including the entrance and elevator was made possible due to a bequest from the Ivy Bean Estate. This makes the building fully wheelchair accessible on all three floors. Many events, groups, and organizations have used the space, and the building remains a fixture of the community.

We welcome weddings, funerals, showers, and other activities in our church. It is our pleasure to offer this ministry to the community. Any donations made to support our church community will be very much appreciated. Click here for more information on weddings and funerals.
